Welcome to Hastings Valley 

Our farm is located in scenic southern Lancaster County alongside our Amish neighbors. We are a small breeder that is able to offer individual attention and care to all our alpacas. We are able to offer around the clock monitoring and support of our small herd.

With three small children, we have found alpacas not only to be an excellent family business with great income potential, but also an invaluable opportunity for our children to be involved in chores and lessons of a "traditional" family farm with ethics that we hope will be instilled and carried on into their adult lives.

This is truly a life-changing business and we would like to invite you to visit and explore all the possibilities of these truly wonderful creatures. Our home and farm is open year round for visits. However, I must forewarn you that often one visit is all it takes to fall in love with these adorable animals.

We may not be able to offer all the services of a large breeder, but we can assist you in all the stages of becoming an alpaca owner, including, but not limiting to, fence and shelter, layout advice, routine vaccinations, nail trimming, hay and feed and shearing. Don't be intimidated and over-whelmed at large breeders. Stop by and see us first for a relaxed, no-pressure visit to find out what alpacas are all about.

Directions to Hastings Valley: We are located off Rte. 472 in Kirkwood, PA between Oxford and Quarryville in Southern  Lancaster County. Turn onto Street Road, you will see a church on the corner. We are the third house from the church on the left.       Click the map for directions:
